1.  Where can I log in to access Medikin Online?
You can access Medikin Online via the Client Login link on our website. Also, we can arrange for white labeled customers to login via your own website.

2.  How do my doctors/authors upload digital audio files to the Medikin platform?
There are multiple ways to upload digital audio files into the Medikin Online. We have a toll free dictation line and smart phone apps that will upload without you having to login to the platform. We also have a direct web upload and our Nexus desktop app for convenient uploading.

3.  How do my doctors/authors receive their digital document files from the Medikin platform?
There are multiple ways for authors to receive digital document files, including a direct web download and our Nexus desktop app.

4.  Does each doctor have to upload and download their files?
No. You can have the Medical Records Manager (MRM) account be responsible for uploading and downloading auido and document files. This can also be split between the doctor/author account and the MRM, depending upon your needs.

5.  Can I get my documents online after I have downloaded them?
Yes. Documents are available in the Document Archive. They are stored for up to 7 years and are available on the platform..

6.  Do I have to login to the Medikin platform each time to upload audio files from my hand held recorder?
No. We have a desktop app called Nexus, which functionsas a light upload and download tool, freeing you from having to login to upload and download each time.

7.  Do you have technical support that can help me?
Yes. We have Telephone support from 9am - 6pm EST. And we provide email support on nights and weekends. You can reach technical support by emailing support@medikin.com or calling 866-MEDIKIN of calling 866-MEDIKIN (633-4546) option 2.

8.  Do I have to route all of my files as they come in?
While that is a choice, we have other automated file routing options, so the files will go directly to your transcription team without you having to lift a finger!

9. Do I have to run a line count on all of my documents to bill my clients?
We run your documents, automatically, through a line count program each time, which by default, counts your lines at 65 characters including spaces.

10. Do I have to create all of my accounts for all users?
While we do have an advanced option for that, Medikin will create your accounts as you request them. Just email support@medikin.com with the account setup request. You can obtain the account setup forms in the Help Desk section of our website..

11.  Do I have to rely on Medikin to setup my file routing?
No. MTSO's will have access to the MT Administrator account. And there you can setup and control your file routing.

12.  Once files are routed to one transcriptionist, can I route them to another?
Yes. In the File Routing screen of the MT Admin account you can manually change files that have been automatically routed to a specific transcriptionist.

13. Can transcriptionists use Nexus?
MT and QA accounts can use Nexus to download incoming audio files. But they must use the platform to pair the document with the correct audio file.

14. Do I have to bill my doctors/authors at 65 characters including spaces?
No. In the Billing Setup you can configure your doctors/authors to be billed anywhere from 65 characters including spaces to a page basis.
